James Chow is now serving as the Executive Officer and Group Consultant Representative, reporting to the Displaywork Company Group Board of Directors. He is being entrusted in the daily management of the company. James earned a BE (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from RMIT (Melbourne, Australia). He started his career as a Wafer Fab/Die Prep Test Engineer in Hewlett-Packard, and later headed the Instrumentation/Automation Design and R&D team. Later, James, went on to head the Product Development and Technical Management team in HP, in the area of Motion Control and Optical Imaging. When Agilent Technologies was formed (as a spin off company from Hewlett-Packard), James took on the role as the Technical Manager in Agilent Technologies, leading a team of IC designers.
During the formation of Lumileds Lighting (a JV company between Agilent and Philips), James took on a new role as the Functional Manager in Lumileds. He was entrusted to manage the overall Strategic Key Projects for the company.
Owing to his interest in the technical area, James decided in 2001 to join an upcoming Engineering company, Displaywork, as the Executive Officer. With his experience in Microcontrollers (PIC, Hitachi, Intel), IC design experience, PLD designs, software programming (in C, Assembly, Java, VHDL, Verilog), Optical imaging, Industrial Automation, Product Development, Opto-electronics testing & measuring techniques; just to mention a few, James is poised to provide Engineering, Technical and Management leadership to Displaywork.
